WRIST CUFF WITH PRECIOUS WHITE METAL PLAQUE

This wrist cuff is a combination of leather and jewelry - the leather band is used to encompass a precious white metal plaque decorated with flowers and leaves.

This combination of leather craft and jewelry was made as a birthday gift for a friend. The plaque is held in place by stitches of thin nylon thread and the top layer of leather is cut to produce a smooth flush mounting for the plaque to avoid the item catching on any clothing when worn.

The wrist cuff is comprised of two types of leather, the upper layer being cow leather and the lower layer next to the wrist is sheep. This format ensures that there is no metalwork in contact with the skin and therefore prevents any problems with metal based allergies.
